In the heart of Northern Quarter in Manchester,

located on Lever St, this hidden gem is the perfect spot for a sweet treat, meeting up with friends, coffee dates and study sessions. Open from 8am-6pm every day of the week, there is no reason not to try this place!

After the coffee spot I was planning to go to was closed because it was past 4pm on a Sunday, I luckily stumbled upon Foundation Coffee House.

As I was looking for a place to study, I checked the opening times and was amazed to see they were open until 6pm!

Created by the NoChintz team in 2015, the cozy ambience and creative atmosphere provides a great spot to relax in Manchester.

The space is quite open with many tables filling the place. The interior is quite simple and basic but perfect for those looking for a place with no distractions.

The menu offers vegan-food, light snacks, fresh cakes, plant-based milks and a wide range of drinks from coffee to fresh smoothies. There is something for everyone here. I think ]

You have to order at the counter and tell them your table number.

I ordered a caramel iced latte and a chocolate coated biscoff butter-cream chocolate muffin.

It was nice and warm inside, therefore I opted for an iced drink instead. The coffee was very nice and had a nutty aftertaste; however, as I have a sweet tooth, I prefer my iced coffee to be quite sweet - so I feel like they could have added more syrup as I couldn't taste it too much.

The muffin was probably the best cake I have ever had! The biscoff flavored buttercream was coated in hardened milk chocolate that had biscoff crumbs sprinkled on top.

The texture of the muffin was soft and moist with just the right amount of chocolate so it wasn't too sugary.

There were booths, meaning groups of 6+ were able to sit together.

I brought my laptop with me and did some work whilst I had my coffee and cake. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for a place to study or work.

There are plug sockets all around, no limits of how long you can stay/keep a table for, no minimum order (although I'm sure if you have one coffee, you'll be dying to have another straight after!).
